Match Report – AFC Bolton U8 Yellows vs Moss Bank U8 YellowsThe boys put in a really spirited performance today against a well‑organised and physical Moss Bank side. Even though the result didn’t go our way, there were loads of positives — great effort, moments of real quality, and plenty of teamwork from start to finish. We started brightly, moved the ball well, and created some good chances. What stood out most was the lads’ attitude: heads never dropped, they kept battling for each other, and they stayed positive right to the final whistle.Goalscorers Lucas ⚽️ Max ⚽️⚽️Player HighlightsLucas – MOTM A brilliant all‑round display. Worked tirelessly up front, pressed defenders, linked play, and took his goal superbly. Constantly looked dangerous and showed real determination throughout.Oscar – Parents’ MOTM (Goalkeeper) A fantastic performance between the sticks. Made important saves, stayed brave in one‑on‑one situations, and communicated well with the defenders. His positioning and reactions kept us in the game at key moments. Fully deserved the parents’ award.Max Another strong performance with two well‑taken goals, always looking a threat going forward. He also played half of his game in a different role at the back, where he did brilliantly — stayed disciplined, made important challenges, and picked out some excellent through balls to get us moving up the pitch. A proper team player.Coen Full of energy and enthusiasm. Pressed well, supported play in both directions, and kept trying to make things happen. He was unlucky not to get himself on the scoresheet, getting into great positions and causing real problems for the defence. A really positive contribution.Hudson Solid and reliable throughout. Read the game well, made important challenges, and helped the team stay organised defensively. A hardworking display.Hunter Gave everything for the team. Strong in the tackle, brave in challenges, and always willing to track back and support his teammates. Great attitude all game.Niall Worked hard down the wing, made good runs, and helped stretch the play. He also came close to scoring on more than one occasion — really unlucky not to find the net after some brilliant attacking play. Showed real commitment and contributed well both in attack and defence. As always thanks to RTE Fabrications ltd for their support 👏 ... See MoreSee Less
