⭐️⚽️ AFC Bolton U9 Boys YELLOWS ⚽️⭐️Proudly sponsored by Bolton Recovery Services, Costcutter (Highfield) and Cream.🆚 Horwich St Mary’s AvengersAbsolutely freezing this morning I’m pretty sure my toes are only just starting to come back to life! First game back after the winter break and straight into a serious test, with the boys stepping up into the top section of the league. The game was a real battle from start to finish. Missed chances and a touch of frostiness (soz ❄️) made things tough at key moments, but full credit to Horwich St Mary’s they are well drilled at this level and showed us exactly what we need to be ready for moving forward.🌟 Player Spotlights 🌟Harris: A tough day to be a keeper in these conditions and when you’re exposed to overloads there’s not much you can do. Brilliant distribution throughout and he played a big part in our only goal.Bobby: Relentless today. Chased and chased in defence, making vital interceptions. Moved into midfield late on and showed real quality with some positive forward balls.George: Gave absolutely everything defensively. Threw himself into blocks and stepped out confidently with the ball, picking out some great forward passes.Jaxon: Man of the Match. Outstanding performance. Fearless use of his body against players almost twice his size and never once backed down. Top class.Barney: Very unlucky not to be rewarded for some excellent runs into the box. Kept finding great positions and was a constant threat.Elliot: Confidence is growing massively and it really shows. Stronger in the tackle, attacking the ball well and setting himself up brilliantly on the pitch.Theo: A big test in the middle today and he stood up to it. Asserted himself well, linked play nicely and created plenty of chances for the attackers.Tyler: So unlucky in front of goal. A couple just sliding past his toe and one rattling the crossbar. On another day he bags a brace.Francis: Electric down the left. Some great footwork and creativity, constantly causing problems and creating opportunities for us.Oliver: Parents’ Man of the Match. A really strong performance up front, capped off by calmly slotting home our goal after a quick break.Loads of positives to take despite the result. The lads showed they belong at this level and never looked out of place for a second. We’ll take the lessons, work hard in training and come back even stronger.UP THE YELLOWS!!! 💛⚽️ ... AFC Bolton Under 7s Greys vs Aspull Under 7 Warriors – Match ReportAnother high-scoring win for the boys!On a wonderful cold but sunny Saturday morning, the Greys arrived at their home ground full of energy and motivation, ready to get going against Aspull Warriors. The game started at a frantic pace, with the Greys making an immediate mark on the match by firing in two quick goals early on. As the game settled, the boys showed great composure and produced some of the best passing football we’ve seen from them so far this season , clearly taking everything they’ve worked on in Thursday’s training straight into today’s performance. As always, our main focus is hard work and giving 100%, and the lads did exactly that from start to finish. Aspull Warriors never gave up and played some fantastic football themselves, working hard and asking questions of the Greys throughout the game. However, the Greys kept their composure, moved the ball well, and that calm approach led to another excellent win, keeping their undefeated run going.A special mention goes to Harry, who looked so comfortable and secure between the sticks. He made some great saves, read the game superbly, and ensured the team was always well covered. Well done, Harry!Parents’ Player of the Match goes to Arthur (aka Crazy Legs), who was like a whippet on a grease tray all over the pitch winning the ball back, feeding brilliant passes to his teammates, and getting himself on the scoresheet. A well deserved award, well done!Coaches’ Player of the Match is Theo, who never stopped running throughout the game. He worked tirelessly for his teammates, showed great awareness with his passing, and once again got himself on the scoresheet. Outstanding effort, well done, Theo!Every lad on that pitch could have taken home a trophy today. They showed superb teamwork, fought for their friends, and demonstrated a real desire to win. We are incredibly proud of you all 🩶💚A big thank you to the parents for your continued support as always. Have a great weekend 🖤Massive shout to our sponsors The Blackout Crew , Ds Proscreed LTD, BNCY and Settle Construction Limited 🩶💚 ... See MoreSee Less

⚽️⚽️Match Report: AFC U12s Greys🩶 vs Bury B Team⚽️⚽️ #AFCU12GREYSAFC produced a superb all-round performance to secure a convincing 5–1 victory over Bury B in an entertaining and high-quality encounter. The game didn’t start quite to plan, as an early own goal saw Bury take an unexpected lead. It was an unfortunate moment, but it did nothing to knock the confidence or character of the AFC boys, who responded in the best possible way by bouncing straight back and taking control of the match.Oscar got AFC up and running with a well-taken header to level the score, setting the tone for what was to come. From there, AFC turned the screw, playing some excellent football and creating chances at will. Harry then took centre stage, firing in two goals to put AFC firmly in charge. The fourth goal came in a slightly unconventional fashion - Bobby shot and the ball narrowly swept Ruebans fringe before landing in the back of the net (we'll let the boys decide whos claiming that one😂). Finally Oscar capped off a brilliant team performance by grabbing his second goal of the game. Man of the Match this week goes jointly to Harry and Bobby, who both controlled the game superbly from midfield. Although if Joes Bicycle kick, which was agonisingly close to going in the net, had come off he would have been a contender for that alone😂The quality of football from the entire team was a joy to watch. Winning is always good, but winning while playing this well is even better. It’s safe to say coaches Ash and Paul were extremely proud of the lads’ performance. Heres hoping we can play this well next week when we have 2 big games - Bury A Team in the Leaugue Cup and Avro in the County Cup. With thanks to our sponsor Edu-Lettings ... See MoreSee Less
